Since 2011, Darling's Women & Wheels has helped hundreds of women feel empowered and informed about their vehicles — and we're back with a new look!
What are Darling's Women & Wheels Events?
The Women & Wheels event, first hosted by our team in 2011 at Darling’s Ford Volkswagen Audi in Bangor, was created to provide a positive, empowering space for women to learn about their vehicles, the automotive industry, and the service process in a supportive environment. Since then, we’ve expanded the event, hosting over ten successful sessions at multiple locations including Darling’s Ford Volkswagen Audi, Darling’s Auto Mall in Ellsworth, Darling’s Chrysler Dodge Ram Hyundai in Augusta, and Darling’s Ford in Brunswick. Hundreds of women from across Maine have attended these events and left feeling more confident behind the wheel and in the service lane.
At Darling’s, we believe knowledge leads to empowerment — and empowerment leads to confidence. That’s why each Women & Wheels event features interactive demonstrations, open discussions, and approachable experts ready to answer every question, no matter how small. Attendees discover how to check tire pressure, understand dashboard lights, navigate new vehicle technology, and gain insight into what really goes on during a service visit — all in a friendly, pressure-free setting.
Each session blends hands-on learning with a welcoming, social atmosphere complete with refreshments, giveaways, and community connections. Whether you’re a first-time car owner or just looking to feel more comfortable caring for your vehicle, Women & Wheels offers the tools, knowledge, and encouragement to help you take control of your automotive journey with confidence and pride.
